I'M NEW!
What should I expect at your worship service?
We are a small church Ohana, or family, loving God and loving on one another through our gathering together each Sunday for worship. It is a traditional Episcopal service with readings from scripture, prayers, music, and Holy Communion. For Holy Communion, or Holy Eucharist, anyone who’s been baptized into any part of Christ’s Church is warmly invited, and encouraged, to receive Jesus in Holy Communion. God loves you, and so do we! But if you choose not to receive, for whatever reason, no worries, please receive a blessing! We put the whole service in a Sunday program, so it’s very easy for anyone to follow along!
What is the Episcopal Church?
As Episcopalian, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world. We believe that God loves you – no exceptions. The Episcopal church embraces a legacy of inclusion, inspiring to tell and exemplify God‘s love for every human being. We tend to be open minded, and believe that scripture, tradition, reason and experience, all help shape our understanding of truth and faith!
Is anything expected of me? I'm not sure about this whole "church" thing?
Just come with an open heart and be open to experiencing the love of God within the context of a very loving community of faith. We follow the liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer with the service printed out every week in it’s entirety so it’s very easy to just follow along!
